Sunflower Festival returns to Anderson

Anderson’s Denver Downs Farm is once again hosting the South Carolina Sunflower Festival this July.

This family- and dog-friendly festival features farm animals, freshly made food and snacks, and acres and acres of different varieties of sunflowers.

There is even an option to take home blooms, in either bucket or jar sizes, with variable pricing for each, when reservations are made online.

Cheeseburgers, cold lemonade and open-air photo opportunities in front of fields of sunflowers all round out the occasion.

The farm boasts some of the rarest sunflower species available, as well as the more well-known varieties. From the hauntingly pale-yellow White Nite to the eclipse-like red-and-dark Desert Sun and the delightfully Fluffy Gummy Bear, these sunflowers are as varied as they are aesthetically pleasing.

Education opportunities covering topics such as learning how to harvest sunflower seeds as a snack, as well as gardening and bloom care tips, will also be available.

The field can also be booked by photographers wishing to hold a session amongst the flowers for clients.

Bundle packages are also available, which come with a general admission ticket, a “you-pick” sunflower-collecting activity and an ornamented bucket.

Festivals like this may choose to use Stationery printing to create seed labels, merch table Signs and vendor ads.

The Sunflower Festival is happening on July 11-12 and July 18-19 from 9 am to 5 pm each day at Denver Downs Farm at 1515 Denver Rd in Anderson.
