Anderson will host a Godzilla Thrilla 30 Hour Bell Lap Endurance Run this January, with proceeds going toward a charitable organization.
Participants choose how long they want to run on a two-mile paved loop with grassy areas. The golf cart path is on a manicured lawn, so runners have the option to run directly on the grass for the entire race if they want to.
Whiles some runners may choose to run for only a short time, those at the other end of the spectrum can also run for multiple hours overnight. Participants who choose the latter option will park in one of two dedicated parking lots at the venue, with other parking options for non-overnight runners.
Donations collected through the endurance run will benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Japan, a charity that provides lodging and other amenities for the families of sick children. Specifically, the money will be used to repair and operate existing Ronald McDonald Houses, as well as to fund the construction of new homes. The charity also provides Ronald McDonald Family Rooms, which are resting places for families inside hospitals.
Running events like this may choose to use banner printing to create start and finish lines, promotions, and vendor Signs.
The Godzilla Thrilla 30 Hour Bell Lap Endurance Run starts at 8:00 am on Saturday, January 10 at and continues on January 11 at 1615 West Market St in Anderson.
