Chocolatey adventure with a twist screens in Anderson

The Anderson Main Library is hosting a movie screening of Wonka that includes a craft activity of creating wooden snowflake ornaments.

Registration is free for the event, which is appropriate for those 13 years of age and older. The entire event will be themed around the winter holiday break, complete with hot chocolate provided on site to get the creativity flowing.

The PG-rated Wonka, which came out in 2023, stars Timothee Chalamet as the titular chocolatier. The film serves a prequel to the 1971 film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and the original book titled Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl.

The musical adventure follows a young Wonka as he pursues his dream of opening a chocolate shop in a city overflowing with confectionery sweets. However, the venture is not as straightforward as it seems, as he discovers the entire chocolate economy in the town is controlled by a nefarious organization that seeks to monopolize the business for itself, aggressively stomping out any competition.
