The Pittsburgh-based organization Riverlife will soon have a new president and chief executive.
Vivien Li, who has held the position of president of the Boston Harbor Association, has been selected to fill the role. Li will begin her employment with Riverlife starting on October 1 of this year. This position was recently vacated by Lisa Schroeder, who has moved on to a new job as the head of Baltimore’s Parks and People Foundation.
Li worked with the Boston Harbor Association as executive director starting in 1991, and was promoted to the position of president in 2011. During her time there, she led several initiatives designed to help bring new life to the harbor. A firm that provides digital Business Cards will be able to provide her with any printed materials that she may need in her new job in Pittsburg.
Riverlife is a partnership between the public and private sector that was founded back in 1999 to help bring about improvements to the city’s waterfront. It has advocated for such projects as parks, walking trails and improved open public spaces. It also assists in bringing together the different stakeholders, such as property owners, public officials, developers and community groups so that they can all have a say and work together towards the goal of making the area around the river a place everyone can enjoy.
