Pittsburgh class crafts eastern bluebirds

A class planned in Pittsburgh will introduce the pastime of needle felting while focusing on an attractive species.

Contemporary Craft’s Timmons Studios offers monthly needle felting workshops, with each featuring a differing wild bird. June’s will be the eastern bluebird, and it will be led by Red Cottage Fiber Studio’s Erin Carlson.

Attendees in the three-hour session will be working with special barbed needles as well as wool. Suitable for both the beginner and experienced crafter, the workshop will teach how to add the markings that make the species distinctive, and information about the birds will be shared as well.

The function is part of the larger Birds of the Month series, and the registration fee is $65 plus a $10 materials fee. The registration process can be completed through its web listing, which also provides details about the other classes in the series.

A crafting class can be a fun way to learn some new skills along with others who share the interest. A flyer printing company can help to get the word out to as many people as possible, and may also be able to provide Copies of handouts and other materials.

Contemporary Craft’s Timmons Studios, which are located at 5688 Butler Street, will be offering this bluebird-themed needle felting session on Thursday, June 4, starting at 6:00 pm.
