This October, a Pittsburgh venue will see the public waddle in for a celebration that will celebrate some of its feathery friends that hail from the waters off Africa.
The National Aviary has set the schedule for its International African Penguins Awareness Day, and visitors of all ages can drop by and pay its resident penguins a visit. There will be special activities in honor of the occasion, and many of these are included with General Admission tickets.
Everyone who plans on attending the celebration is encouraged to fully join the fun by wearing a tuxedo, black and white outfit or hockey jersey from the local team. They can meet the penguins, watch special feedings and there will also be keeper talks to sit in on. The Penguin Discovery Zone will be open , and there will be other activities announced as its date draws closer. The venue will be open from 10:30 until 4:00 pm.
Zoos, sanctuaries and rescues often play an important role when it comes to animal protection and advocacy. A brochure printing company can supply organizers of a signature event with everything from informational materials to branded caps and other Promotional Products to offer for sale as fundraising items.
The National Aviary will be giving its African Penguins time in the spotlight on October 10th. It is one of several special events the venue has on deck for fall of 2026.
