Pittsburgh event seeks the best chili and cookies

Pittsburgh foodies will soon be enjoying their fill when they attend an event that will crown the city’s chili champ while raising money for those in need.

The organizers of the Naughty and Nice Holiday Throwdown are hoping it will go a long way towards addressing food insecurity while also being entertaining. It will open with an introduction to the chefs, and the winners will be announced before it draws to close.

The activity will see eight chefs split into two teams that will be showing off their skills, and the proceeds will be donated to Community Kitchen Pittsburgh. Each ticketholder will be able to sample all the chilis as well as access a loaded bar of add-ons such as cheese, cornbread, and sour cream. There will be four cookie options, and the attendees will be able to submit their vote for their top picks in a blind judging. Free lemonade and water will be available.

To help the activity make an even bigger impact, the Community Giving Station will be onsite accepting contributions. A banner printing company can prepare decor for an event, including wide-format pictures that show how the generosity of the guests will be making a difference.

The Naughty & Nice Holiday Throwdown will be taking over Community Kitchen Pittsburgh on Saturday, December 6. It is located at 107 Flowers Avenue.
