Pittsburgh workshop to teach glass flower fundamentals

A fall workshop will introduce the art of crafting flowers using Borosilicate glass, and enrolment is open now for this learning event.

Pittsburgh Glass Center is offering its Glassy Botanicals series of workshops, and it is intended for those who have an intermediate level of experience in working with glass. The students will use both the hand torch and bench to craft their pieces, and they will also be introduced to the studio’s rental system.

The class will be spread out over an eight-week period, and the participants will learn how to create tendrils, petals and leaves. The instruction will be provided using both group and individual formats, and the registrants are encouraged to bring along any design ideas they might have to work with.

There are spaces for up to ten learners in this workshop, and the fee to register is $350.00. Manuals that provide more information can be prepared for each student in this sort of class by Stationery printers, and these can give them even more details that what can be covered in a class.
