Pittsburgh is a dynamic city with many buildings old and new, and the public will soon have a chance to get a sneak peek behind their front doors.
Dozens of buildings will be included in this year’s Doors Open Pittsburgh , and those who take part will gain a greater understanding of how their home city works. They can explore, ask questions, and learn about what goes on behind the scenes, all while enjoying the fresh air as they walk from stop to stop.
The organizers of the activity have noted that it can be enjoyed even while social distancing, but stress that masks or other appropriate facial coverings will need to be worn to enter each building. The list of participating locations will be released a month before the tour, and those who plan on taking part will be able to plan their route. General Event tickets must be purchased ahead of time, and these must be presented to gain entry at the various participating locations.
