Pittsburgh plans pop-up pet vaccine clinic

World Rabies Day takes place each September, and a Pittsburgh event will help to keep this, and other pet illnesses, at bay.

A Community Vaccine day has been scheduled by Animal Friends, and it will provide a variety of vaccines and health treatments. The price will depend on which services are accessed, and many will be free of charge.

To take advantage of the offer, owners must ensure that each cat is in a secure carrier of its own, and all dogs must be leashed securely. Each household may bring up to three pets, and vaccination records should be brought. Rabies, Lepto, DHPP and FVRCP vaccines will be free, and microchips, and a variety of options for flea treatments will be available for a fee. Free pet food will be distributed for as long as supplies last. Anyone with questions can contact the organizers at 412.847.7004.

Offering low cost services to companion animals in need can help to keep a community's pet population healthy and happy. A poster printing company will be happy to help spread the word to as many as possible about upcoming local activities.

Animal Friends will be manning this pop-up pet vaccine, microchip and flea treatment clinic on September 5th, and it will be open from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. It will be on offer at Millvalle Riverfront Park, located at 70 Riverfront Drive in Pittsburgh.
