Pittsburgh feathered friend to star in festive event

A Pittsburgh venue that focuses on birds has a special event in store, and it will feature Santa plus a special guest from Africa’s southern tip.

The National Aviary will be running its Season’s Greetings Saturdays program, which will be on offer on set dates during the winter holiday season. As there will be photo ops, everyone is reminded to keep their camera handy.

The venue will be offering attendees the chance to enjoy a schedule of themed activities, and the younger guests can make a craft and write a letter to Santa. In the Atrium, The Big Guy in Red will be posing for pictures along with an African penguin. There will be an opportunity to learn more about these critically endangered birds, and a special story time will take place. A giving tree will be set up as well.

Many venues have special plans in the works for the holiday season. A banner printing company can work with event organizers to make sure they have the banner printing and other services they are likely to need for their function.

The National Aviary will be running its Season’s Greetings Saturdays on November 30, as well as December 7, 14, and 21. It will run from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm. Entry is included with the aviary’s general admission fee.
