Pittsburgh event to crown vegan soup champ

Pittsburgh chefs who craft vegan fare will soon be throwing down in an event that will seek the city’s best soup free of meat or dairy.

The organizers of the Best Vegan Soup in the ‘Burgh event will be crowning the city’s meat-free soup champ. Early bird tickets are still available at the time of writing.

When the doors open for the day, attendees will be able to visit the various stations, sampling the soups as they go. They can vote for their favorite entry. There will be additional items available on site as well, such as desserts and snacks, and live music will add some extra fun to the occasion. A cash bar will be on offer for anyone who would like a wine or beer pairing to go with their samples, and each ticketholder will receive a yearlong companion level membership of Humane Action Pittsburgh.

A friendly culinary competition like this gives chefs a chance to shine, and may be highly effective at fundraising for a cause. A company that crafts Corporate Gifts can prepare custom-designed awards to present to the winner of a contest, and these may incorporate a special graphic design.

The Best Vegan Soup in the ‘Burgh cookoff will seek the city’s soup champ on Sunday, February 2nd. It has been scheduled for 2120 Jane Street.
