Pittsburgh egg hunt to boast special twist

A Pittsburgh museum that provides the public with an opportunity to learn more about the natural world will be holding its Egg Hunt, but it will have a special twist.

The Carnegie Museum of Natural History will be welcoming families for its Super Saturday Egg-stravaganza, which will have an Easter theme. The celebration will explore how many creatures lay eggs, and the activity will combine learning with hands on fun.

The families that take part will engage in a scavenger hunt, and while they follow the clues, they will learn how creatures ranging from dinosaurs to birds, insects, many reptiles and amphibians, and even some mammals lay eggs. Nests will be included in the exploration, and the kids will be able to collect Stamps as they visit the various exhibits.

Once the attendees have filled their cards with Stamps, they will be invited to collect a bag of treats to take home. These will be available for as long as their supply lasts. A printer can be tasked with preparing small reusable “goodie Bags”, and these may be printed with an institution's Logo Design.

This introduction to the “egg-citing” world of eggs and the creatures that lay them will be held on Saturday, April 8. The program will run from 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm, and it is open to all families.
