‘Pterosaurs: Flight in the Age of Dinosaurs’ will be showing at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History from late January until May. The show was organized by the American Museum of Natural History in New York.
There will be displays of fossils from the winged pterosaur order of dinosaurs, as well life-sized models, and hands-on interactive activities. The interactive exhibits include the ‘Fly Like a Pterosaur’ motion sensor, where players guide a flying pterosaur and a virtual wind tunnel to learn about aerodynamics. The cast gallery will have a variety of the cartilage that jutted from the head of the pterosaurs, rather like a rooster's comb.
This educational event will likely appeal to everyone in the family, especially those who harbor an interest in the age of the dinosaurs.
No doubt this exhibition will attract families from all over Pittsburgh. The gift shop will likely be providing related items for sale, such as Posters provided by printing companies.
The exhibit opens at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History's R. P. Simmons Family Gallery on January 30 and runs until May 22. Tickets are $24.95 for adults, $19.95 for seniors, and $14.95 for children and students. The museum is open Wednesday through Monday, opening at 10:00 am most days and 12:00 pm on Sunday.
