Painting with a Twist is an organization whose main goal is to spread the love of painting to the general population. They are hosting two events next month with this in mind.
The first event is the Behind the Twist art show and sale. It will feature over a dozen local artisans who will be selling items such as paintings, crafts, and handmade soaps and candles. Musical entertainment will be provided by Willful Souls and Shaun Novak during the evening. Visitors will receive free drinks and snacks while they show for some unique items.
Later on in the month will be Painting with a Purpose. This is a monthly event that raises money for local charities. The one in July will be a fundraiser for the Best of the Batch Foundation. Guests will be given canvas and paints and asked to recreate a painting; instructor Tanya Sturm will be there to help. Former Steeler Charlie Batch will be in attendance.
Fans of art and graphic design in Pittsburgh are sure to be interested in attending at least one of these events.
Behind the Twist will be held at Painting with a Twist – Mount Lebanon on July 13 beginning at 6:00 PM. Admission is free.
Painting with a Purpose will take place at the Craft House Stage and Grill on July 23 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Tickets are $35 and include one free drink.
