Gala event raises funds for area animals

The Best Friends Ball is taking place next month in downtown Pittsburgh. It is a fundraising event for the Western Pennsylvania Human Society.

The evening will consist of a cocktail hour with music provided by a pianist, a sit-down dinner, and dancing. In addition, Brad Childs and Jonathan Plesset of the Pittsburgh Aviation Animal Rescue Team will be honored. No doubt there will be plenty of information shared about the work of the team and how it has rescued thousands of dogs and other animals by air and land.

Sponsorships are available from $100 up to $15,000 to help support various activities such as the cocktail hour and the pianist. Also, those who purchase a $350 ticket will have their names printed in the event program.

The Western PA Humane Society has been in existence since 1874 and serves over 10,000 animals each year. To help support charitable events such as this, Pittsburgh Stationery printers often will provide necessary items, such as the program booklet or Flyers for advertising.

The Best Friends Ball will be held at the Fairmont Pittsburgh on September 12 from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Tickets are $250 each and tables for 10 are available.
