Fundraiser helps provide support for cancer patients

The 2nd annual Triple Indulgence gala is taking place next month in Pittsburgh. It is a fundraising event for the Magee Women's Research Institute & Foundation Breast Cancer Patient Care Fund.

The event is hosted by former Pittsburgh Steeler Jerome Bettis, and is held in honor of his mother, Gladys, who is battling breast cancer. Several other former Pittsburgh sports figures and other local celebrities are also expected to appear.

Guests will enjoy hors d'oeuvres, wine, and chocolate. They can also shop for jewelry that will be provided by Joyce's Fine Jewelry, with a portion of all sales going to the charity.

The Breast Cancer Patient Care Fund helps to provide extras to women who are going through the disease. This includes wigs, emergency lodging, medications, transportation, and whatever else they need that might not be covered by insurance. Last year's inaugural gala raised approximately $30,000 for the cause.

To attract more people from the Pittsburgh area to attend, organizers might invest in flyer printing services or colorful Posters that can be displayed in public buildings.

The Triple Indulgence event will be held at Rivers Casino on January 23, 2016, from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Tickets are $100 each. To learn more about this event, or about the organization to be the beneficiary of it, call 412-639-1198.
