The Pittsburgh Blues Festival is returning to the city this July for the 20th year, raising money for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
The main draw of the festival is the music, and some of those in this year’s lineup include Dr. John, the Spin Doctors, and Trampled Under Foot. There will also be craft beer samples, vendors, a raffle for backstage passes, and plenty of activities for the kids. Children's activities will include tethered hot air balloon rides, arts and crafts, cooking demonstrations, and a wishing well. Another attraction will be the pet zone, so that festival goers can leave their dogs to be taken care of while they enjoy the music.
The festival is widely advertised in the Pittsburgh area and beyond. This may include the organizers investing in services from their local brochure printers.
The Pittsburgh Blues Festival is taking place from July 25 to 27 at Hartwood Acres Park. First day admission is free with the donation of a bag of food for the food bank. Tickets for Saturday and Sunday are $30 in advance or $35 at the gate, and a weekend pass is $50. Students aged from 13 to 25 and military personnel pay only $25 per day or $45 for a pass.
