Festival brings international jazz to Pittsburgh

The 5th annual Pittsburgh International JazzLive Festival is taking place this June for three days.

Presented by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, about 20 venues in the Downtown Cultural District will be hosting performances by such acts as The Average White Band, Joey De Francesco, Ginger Baker Jazz Confusion, and the Aaron Abernathy and Nat Turner Band. While most of these are ticketed events, there will also be free concerts on several outdoor stages.

In addition to concerts, there is set to be a free Jazz Crawl, which will feature performances, by approximately 150 local and regional musicians. There will also be an elite craft beer tasting, a ticked tasting event called Raise your Spirits and Trust Vinyl (a pop-up record store). For those who wish to do some shopping there is Showcase Noir (an African American designer market) and a Night Market hosted by the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership.

This popular festival usually attracts approximately 20,000 visitors from Pittsburgh and beyond. To help advertise, the organizers may invest in brochure or flyer printing services.

The Pittsburgh International JazzLive Festival will take place from June 19 to 21. The Jazz Crawl will be held on June 19 from 5:30 - 9:00 PM. To get more information about the festival and to find out the price of the various tickets, call 412-456-6666.
