The Pittsburgh American Diabetes Association (ADA) Expo is being held in just over a week, presented by the Allegheny County Health Department and the ADA.
The event will feature special guests Rufus Dorsey and Jennifer Antkowiak, free health screenings, cooking demonstrations on the Healthy Eating Stage, and informational exhibits from local health providers and the American Diabetes Association. There will also be fitness classes in Tai Chi, Zumba, yoga, and line dancing, among others.
The Divabetic Stage will provide music, games, pampering, and diabetes education aimed exclusively at women. In addition, visitors can choose between a number of workshops on topics such as managing diabetes, building healthy lifestyles, and living with Type 2 diabetes.
Those exhibitors who plan on providing information will most likely be handing out printed materials for people, who may come from nearby towns such as Plum, to take home with them. Local Print companies are often asked to provide materials such as Brochures, Booklets, and Flyers. They may also have some promotional items such as Pens made.
The Pittsburgh American Diabetes Association Expo is taking place at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center on November 8 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. Admission is free of charge.
