Conference aims to make the public healthier

The Creating Healthy Communities Conference is taking place in Pittsburgh next month, and is presented by Women for a Healthy Environment.

The conference is set to provide information for both professionals and the public on how to make their community healthier and more sustainable for human life.

The emcee of the event will be Michelle Wright from WTAE – TV. The conference is set to feature several presentations and keynote speeches. Speakers who will be appearing this year include Dr. Robert Atkins, Dr. Maida Galvez, and Dr. Marion Nestle.

Attendees will have the opportunity to choose between several breakout sessions on topics of their choice. These include the quality of air in Western Pennsylvania, water quality in light of what happened in Flint, Michigan, creating healthy environments for children, and the quality of food in Western Pennsylvania.

There will also likely be many opportunities for attendees to network with one another. No doubt many will be bringing their custom Business Cards to exchange with their Pittsburgh peers, or placing a new printing order to ensure they have enough of their pristine condition cards.

The Creating Healthy Communities Conference will be held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center on October 6. Admission is $30 until September 5 and $50 after. For more information about this important conference, call 412-404-2872.
