Tigard company lands deal to benefit aviation

Agilyx of Tigard recently announced that it will be supplying up to 2,500 barrels per day of the crude oil which it creates synthetically from plastic waste to Monroe Energy, a subsidiary of Delta Air Lines.

The goal is that the airline, based in Atlanta, will be able to create a greater volume of jet fuel from this renewable material.

As a result of this deal, Agilyx will build a facility near the facility which Monroe has in the Philadelphia area. It is expected that by the end of 2020, the facility will be able to produce the 2,500 barrels per day amount.

Joe Vaillancourt, CEO of Agilyx, said that this deal is a monumental achievement. The company is moving ahead in creating many types of products made from plastic waste and so this project demonstrates the ability to create a commercial-scale facility that will enable the plastics waste economy to move forward.

Sir Richard Branson, an investor of the company, added that the deal is a major step in advancing a cost-effective low carbon fuel for aviation purposes. The process takes existing environmental waste problems, and creates a product which is useful for companies and the general economy.

Various printing services, such as poster printing, can be used to inform the community of such projects and keep them abreast of their progress.
