Safety & Health Summit announces schedule for Portland

Portland will be hosting the 2025 Northwest Safety & Health Summit at the Holiday Inn Portland, located on the Columbia Riverfront in May.

The annual summit, which will be the 29th this year, has a goal of promoting best practices across various industries to increase job site safety. Although the event roundly supports the Voluntary Protection Program’s philosophy of surpassing mere worker protection compliance, it is not exclusive to those that adhere to that program.

Companies, particularly factories, turn to poster printing services to provide them with safety reminders to post to their walls.

An announcement of the summit and its program was made by the Oregon Department of Consumers and Business Services recently that included details of its keynote speakers and workshops. There were to be training sessions dealing with a variety of relevant topics including hand safety programs, silica hazards, driver engagement for safety, and personal protective equipment.

Included at the conference will be opportunities to become educated about the VPP (Voluntary Protection Program) recognition and how to apply for it, which highlights the event’s dedication to taking safety standards past just the basic requirements.

Conference registration is $400 for non-members and $375 for members and can be accomplished online. Full day workshop fees are between $200 and $250. Details for the Safety and Health Summit that takes place May 13-15, back can be obtained by phone or email via the Oregon OSHA’s Conference Section.
