Tickets are now available for the cold weather fun of outdoor skating at the city’s own Winter Ice Rink.
The almost two-month long event is family-friendly and in addition to the skating also offers a number of options within the Woodsy Winter Village. Skaters will find a cozy, relaxing lounge, and a concession marketplace offering warming beverages and a number of food choices inside the village.
The Ice Rink, along with Woodsy Winter Village, were conceptualized by the Events and Film department of Prosper Portland, which is working in conjunction with Ice-America to construct the temporary ice rink. To help with operating the rink and bringing the whole event to fruitions, Vida en Color, a local event producer has been brought on board for the project.
Enterprises concentrated withing an area sometimes work with printing services to cross advertise, knowing that bringing people to the area helps everyone.
The event, which originated in during the 2023-2024 cold weather season is returning to the waterfront on the Morrison Bridgehead’s west end. This site was chosen to attract more people to Central City during the holiday season. Based on last year's results, it is reasonable to expect thousands of participants as well as spectators to be drawn to the area over the course of its run.
Ticket costs range from $12 to $20 for the daily six skating sessions. The Portland Winter Ice Rink opens November 16, 2024, and extends through January 10, 2025.
