Three days of family fun have been scheduled for the end of May when the Mulnomah County Fair will once again return to Oaks Amusement Park in Portland.
Included this year will be musical and stage performances, a variety of activities, and plenty of fair food vendors, plus Oaks Amusement Park’s amusement rides. Admission to the fair is free, as is parking. Rides and attractions on the Oaks Amusement Park midway, as well as food, are priced separately.
First day highlights will include small farm animal exhibits, Hoops with Kendell, a Little Mermaid & Princesses Meet & Greet and Weiner Dog Races. Other attractions to see will be the Weiner Dog Costume Contest and the Asian Culture Dancers. County fairs like this provide a number of banner printing opportunities.
The second day of the fair, designated La Familia Dia will bring performances from Foklore Jarocho, the Portland Aztec Troupe, Ballet Foklorico Corazones Alegres, Mariachi Sangre Azul, and Ballet Folklorico Papaloti.
Free Loteria, otherwise known as Hispanic Bingo, will be available all three days of the fair, with small prizes for winners.
On Monday, the final day of the event, fairgoers will be treated to the West Coast Kruzerz Car Show, Portland School of Rock, Multi High School Robotic Team Competition, Toy Story’s Jessie and Buzz Lightyear Meet & Greet, and Hip Hop Soulstation Academy Dance Off.
The Mulnomah County Fair runs 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm to May 27 to 29.
