International Raceways Winter Wonderland returns

Once again, Winter Wonderland, one of the city’s favorite holiday events will take place at Portland International Raceway this year.

Billed as the “Largest Holiday Light Show West of the Mississippi”, Winter Wonderland kicks off the winter holiday season on the day after Thanksgiving with more than 250 colorful light displays located around the racetrack. From the comfort of their cars, visitors will, as they have since 1993, take in holiday scenes one after another with many being fully animated. In fact, a couple of special days are even being set aside for those who prefer to bike or walk their dog through the event.

For those who wish to forego the warmth and comfort of their vehicle, a special “Bike the Lights” night will be held on November 28. Other special dates are November 27 and November 29, which are set aside as “Lights and Leashes” evenings where cars will be banned, and individuals can walk through the event with their dogs.

Banner printing services are often busy during the holiday season helping to promote events similar to this one.

The standard hours for the Winter Wonderland are 5pm - 10pm from Monday to Thursday and 4:30pm - 11:00pm from Friday to Sunday. However, from December 16 through December 25, it will be open from 4:30pm – 11:00pm, regardless of the day of the week.

Portland’s Winter Wonderland will be available to attend between November 24 and December 31.
