Blues festival to kick off July in Portland

Early July will bring a celebration of music, food, and fun at Tom McCall Park with the Waterfront Blues Festival.

Portland residents can enjoy a relaxing atmosphere outside with friends and family from 11am until 10:30pm on July 1-4, with live music from a variety of local and nationally known artists. Low-profile lawn chairs, one per person, are encouraged to be brought to the festival. Those with chairs over a foot off the ground will have to sit in a specially designated area.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase, including gluten-free and vegetarian options. Food or drinks other than sealed bottles of water or empty refillable water bottles will not be allowed. A free water refill station will be available.

The terrain of the event location is a sloping grassy hillside. However, ADA walkways exist and a first come, first serve ADA seating area will be available. Also available will be bicycle parking, ATMs and first-aid services. When it comes to events such as festivals, banner printing services can be used to help attendees find important locations.

Those attending will need to bring their festival tickets, a low-profile lawn chair, valid ID and empty reusable water bottle or factory sealed bottle of water.

Please be advised that that in addition to all food and drink, vaping and all tobacco products are prohibited, as are tents, canopies, umbrellas, hard-sided or Styrofoam coolers, and picnic baskets. Also, only service animals will be permitted at the festival.

Tickets are available now for the Waterfront Blues Festival.
