Emergencies can happen anywhere at any time, and those who attend a Medford area workshop that will be offered will know what to do should one arise.
Jackson County’s Older Adult Behavioral Health Initiative is providing funding for the Emergency Preparedness class that will welcome registrants at the Jacksonville Community Center. Jennine Greenwell will be the presenter for the session, and it will be offered in the afternoon.
The attendees will learn how they can be ready for an emergency including ways they can protect their life, property and family. The importance of planning, preparing and practising will be emphasized, and everyone will be walked through the steps of getting ready. There will be time for the group to ask questions, and thanks to the support from Jackson County, there is no fee to be part of the function. Anyone interested may want to secure their spot before they are all gone.
While a workshop may provide an introduction to a topic, the attendees may find themselves eager to learn even more. A brochure printing company can prepare information packets to distribute during events so that it will be easy for the participants to keep on making discoveries.
This introduction to the importance of Emergency Preparedness will be offered in the Medford Area on October 26th. It will start at 1:00 pm at 160 E Main Street in Jacksonville.
