Music fans in Medford are about to be delighted with music from three hit-making bands: Blues Traveler, Gin Blossoms and Spin Doctors. All three bands are performing at the Britt Pavilion in nearby Jacksonville in August.
The trio of bands has been touring together this summer across the nation, kicking off over Fourth of July weekend at Red Rocks and visiting other cities, like Pittsburgh, along their route to visiting Oregon.
Blues Traveler has been making music for multiple decades, maintaining a strong presence in live performances throughout. Known for the improvisation style and high energy on stage, Blues Traveler tapped into the pop culture zeitgeist with their Grammy-winning hit Run Around, from their fourth album, 30 years ago.
Gin Blossoms also saw popularity in the 1990s with their alternative rock hits like Til I Hear It From You and Hey Jealousy. They were also known for contributing to major movie soundtracks at the time, such as Empire Records, Wayne’s World 2 and Speed.
Spin Doctors also have more than three decades in the music scene, with some of their most well-known tracks being Pocket Full Of Kryptonite. Their latest single, Rock ‘N’ Roll Heaven, harkens back to those dense guitar sounds that represent their signature.
