Grammy-nominated reggae artist comes to Medford

Matisyahu is coming to Medford’s Holly Theatre this April.

The reggae artist known for incorporating elements of folk, hip-hop, pop and beatboxing is hosting an intimate, all-acoustic show at the Oregon venue.

Having been nominated for the Grammy for Best Reggae Album for his 2006 album Youth, Matisyahu has continued releasing work consistently over the decades ever since, all the while transforming his personal and musical style along the way.

The concert will at once celebrate the 20th anniversary of his album Live at Stubb’s, in the first part of the set, while also featuring new music from his eighth studio album, Ancient Child, in the second part of the show.

There will also be a smattering of some of Matisyahu’s most well-known hits from throughout his career, peppered throughout the show, with songs like Sunshine, King Without a Crown and One Day.

With a recent transformation to his look, shaving his head and beard, critics such as the Miami New Times have noted his musical style has leaned heavily into a zen aesthetic compared to his previous work.

Tickets range in price from $31-$56 and can be purchased online.

Concerts like this may choose to use banner printing for venue Signs, marquees or stage decorations.

Matisyahu is performing on April 21 at 8 pm at the Holly Theatre at 226 W 6th St. in Medford.
