Brain Crow, director of the Clackamas County Event Center in Canby, has said that many much-loved events will be returning to the center this year, in addition to some brand new activities.
Currently under construction is an exposition hall spanning 45,000 square feet that will open many more opportunities for the center. Crow said that this hall will hold 4,000 to 4,500 people at a time and enable the hosting of concerts, vehicle shows, and trade shows. Such exposition halls enable vendors to showcase their products and services with Flyers and Promotional Products that attendees can take home with them.
Among the events planned for the upcoming year will be the Wine, Food, and Brew event that will be re-imagined as the Canby Brewfest. Crow said that it will be in the main space and will have over 80 beverages on sale, including wine, cider, beer, and seltzer. There will also be music on both days of the event, with the Red Light Romeo band featuring music from the 1970s on the first night and the Radical Revolution highlighting the music of the 1980s on the second night. This event will be on Friday, May 12 and Saturday, May 13.
Finally, the Oregon Renaissance Faire will return for three weekends at the beginning of June with events such as an auto swap meet, and wine and paint nights in the planning stages.
