Working up an appetite in Corvallis

An upcoming event in Corvallis will leave participants hungry for Thanksgiving dinner.

The Corvallis Turkey Trot 2023 is now on the schedule, and is open to walkers, runners, dogs on leashes, and children in strollers. There are three races planned: a 5K, a 10K, and a 1K, also known as the “Little Gobblers” race.

Registration for the event is already open. Anyone who registers by Tuesday, October 31 will pay $30. From November 1 through 19, the fee is $40, and from November 20 through 23, the fee goes up to $50. People should also make plans to pick up their race packets early if they want to “score” a particular t-shirt.

On November 22, from 10.00am until 6.30pm, those picking up their packets at the Corvallis Community Center on NW Tyler Street can also pick up bibs, swag, and T-Shirts. On November 23, participants will pick up their packets at Crystal Lake, where only bibs will be available.

The 2023 Turkey Trot is set for November 23, at the Crystal Lake Sports Field on SE Fischer Lane. The 10K starts at 8.10am and the 5K begins at 8.25am, while the Little Gobblers start off at 9.30am. Anyone walking or with dogs should line up in back. The awards ceremony is at 10.00am. Organizers of outdoor events like this can use banner printing to create course markers that will make it easy for racers to find their route.
