Those interested in a unique experience in Corvallis are invited to come out and watch a ‘Night at The Grand Opera’. The performance takes the form of a giant puppet show and is being put on by String and Shadow Puppet Theater.
This event, suitable for all ages, uses large cardboard and Papier-Mâché set pieces, as well as various performance and music styles to bring the story to life.
Shows such as this often make use of poster printing for advertising and promotions. Posters are useful to display more information about the show, as well as being more eye-catching than smaller formats.
This show will tell the tale of a night at the opera house and all the drama occurring around and within it. There will be plots, love triangles and giant pests all given a physical form using what most people would think of as simple craft materials.
The String and Shadow Puppet Theater believes that art should be accessible to everyone, so anyone can come and enjoy the show, regardless of their ability to contribute financially. Donations will be accepted with the suggested donation amount being $20-$35 for those able and inclined to do so.
The performance will begin at 7pm on August 8 in Avery Park, 1200 SW Avery Park Drive, Corvallis. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets or chairs, and to arrive early to secure their preferred spots.
