Corvallis is once again hosting its Halloween Paddle event at Crystal Lake Sports Park this October.
Paddlers are invited to show up in their best Halloween costumes for a paddle ride down the Willamette River.
Coinciding with the event is a food drive, to which participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable items in exchange for a raffle entry. There will also be photo opportunities, hot drinks, Halloween treats, and kid-friendly activities leading up to the kick-off at Crystal Lake Boat Landing.
Sponsored by Peak Sports, the annual event is exclusively for SUPs (stand up paddleboards), canoes, and kayaks. Lifejackets are also mandatory. Even though paddlers of all ages are invited to join, it is only for experienced stand-up paddleboarders and kayakers. There are no lifeguards or rescue teams on duty, so participants sign up at their own risk for this casual event, and beginners should steer clear.
A costume contest and group photo will also be part of the celebrations immediately before the boat launch.
Outdoor recreation events like this may choose to use banner printing for designating the start and finish lines, or for vendors to use as Signs.
The Third Annual Willamette Bewitched Halloween Paddle 2025 is happening on Sunday, October 26 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. at Crystal Lake Sports Park at 1066 SE Fischner Ln in Corvallis.
