Musical artist Marisa Frantz and friends are offering up a retro-themed concert at Corvallis’ LaSells Stewart Center at Oregon State University this February.
The concert is called On The Radio 1967 Billboard Hits and will feature classic pop ballads from that year, as recorded by Billboard magazine’s Hot 100.
The late 1960s represented a confluence of different genres dominating the Billboard charts at the time, including rockers of the British Invasion and psychedelic movements, rhythm and blues, folk, crooners and jazz singers.
With artists such as The Doors, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and others, Frantz will put her own spin on these classic rock legends. However, R&B powerhouse Aretha Franklin will also be part of the lineup. In addition, tunes from Frank Sinatra and his pop progeny, Nancy Sinatra, will also be part of the set list. Other artists expected to be featured include The Monkees, Frankie Valli, The Young Rascals, Petula Clarke, The Supremes, Ed Ames, The Mamas & The Papas, Bobby Vinton and more.
Musical performances like this may choose to use brochure printing to create tour schedules, audience programs and set lists.
Marisa Frantz - On The Radio 1967 Billboard Hits is happening on February 8 at 3 pm at the Austin Auditorium of the Oregon State University LaSells Stewart Center at 875 SW 26th St in Corvallis.
