The musical Legally Blonde is coming to Corvallis’s Majestic Theatre this May.
Based on the novel by Amanda Brown and the Reese Witherspoon-starring film of the same name, Legally Blonde comes to the Majestic Theatre from director Ruth Mandsager.
The story centers on a sorority sister named Elle Woods whose ambitions as a valley girl become refined when she follows her former boyfriend to Harvard. What started as a ploy to get law student Warner back becomes a journey of self-discovery.
Navigating the difficult world of tough professors, peer pressure, and running into her ex, she Forms a new friend network and unlocks hidden potential as a law student herself.
During its original run on Broadway, the 2007 musical adaptation grossed $56m over several months, totaling 595 performances. The Tony-nominated musical features both music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin, choreography and direction by Jerry Mitchell, and the play’s book by Heather Hach.
For the Corvallis show, Legally Blonde tickets are available for $21 to $23. Musicals like this may choose to use Print shops to create audience programs, promotional Posters and season schedules.
Legally Blonde is playing each week form May 1 through 17 every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with evening shows at 7:30 pm and Sunday matinees at 2:30 pm. All performances are happening in the Starker Auditorium of the Majestic Theatre at 115 SW 2nd St in Corvallis.
