Mental health professionals in Corvallis have a local continuing education opportunity that they may wish to consider.
The Mid-Valley Mental Health Summit is a one-day workshop, presented as a collaboration with several community partners. The Summit will provide education on both patient and practitioner care, while allowing time for networking with peers.
Professional development workshops such as this can afford attendees the opportunity to make connections with those they may not otherwise get to meet and often have Business Cards on hand. Business cards make passing on contact information easy, fast and can be more memorable.
Those participating in the Summit will experience several group learning sessions in the morning, then there will be a networking lunch provided. In the afternoon attendees will split off for a selection of either adult or pediatric sessions, based on their preference indicated upon registration. Workshop participants can be given a certificate of attendance after completing an evaluation of the Summit and may be able to use the event for required professional development points in their fields.
The event will be taking place on October 3, at CH2M HILL Alumni Center, located at 725 Southwest 26th Street, Corvallis. Opening remarks will begin at 8am, with the final workshop for both tracks concluding at 5pm. Tickets can be purchased online for $200. Breakfast, lunch and snacks throughout the day are included with the ticket cost.
