Robopocalypse The Musical by Puppeteers for Fears is coming to the Old World Deli in Corvallis.
The musical is story taking place is a Cyberpunk-like world and explores the dark side of artificial intelligence. The original musical is by Puppeteers for Fears, a theater troupe specializing in comedic musicals involving puppets in the horror and science fiction genres. The new show has PG-13 content, though all ages are welcome.
Robopocalypse The Musical is performed entirely with puppets and a live band. The plot involves appliances coming to life and homicidal robots, among other things. The tour for the musicals includes a number of cities in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, California, Arizona and Nevada.
Based in Ashland, Oregon, Puppeteers for Fears is one of the premier theater companies in the Pacific Northwest to offer completely original musicals.
One of the theater company’s past works included Chuthulu The Musical, focusing on the eldritch horror creation by H.P. Lovecraft. The musical drew accolades during its tour, including recommendations in The Stranger and in The Seattle Times.
