A rising comedian is coming to Corvallis, and promises to bring laughs with her.
The Majestic Theatre is the venue welcoming Maddie Wiener. Theater representatives have said that they ask the comedians they schedule who else they should consider bringing to Corvallis. The answer for the last few years has been the same: Maddie Wiener.
Although she is not yet thirty years old, Wiener has been named to the New Faces lineup created by Just For Laughs, appeared on Comedy Central, and opened for artists like Nikki Glaser and Dave Attell. She travels the country where she is a favorite on college campuses.
Maddie Wiener is a native of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and is building a solid reputation in New York, where she is a regular at the Comedy Cellar, a club similar to the Comedy Store, which offers showcases of performers rather than headliners. It has been called the “Harvard of comedy clubs,” and presents only the best in the business.
Wiener has been described as being simultaneously “abrasive and likeable,” and with a style that is irreverent, but with a touch of brazenness.
Maddie Wiener will be at the Majestic on October 12. Her show contains adult language, and the theater will not admit anyone under the age of 18. When appearances like this are planned, organizers will often turn to partners, who in turn create advertising for the show by using poster printing.
