Toledo Museum of Art Peristyle will have two viewing options for patrons to enjoy Toledo Symphony performances in November.
Since in-person attendance is limited, some of the performances, such as Beethoven’s Symphonies 1 and 5 on November 29 and 21, are already sold out.
However, the museum has invested in its own streaming platform, TAPA. This will offer free previews of Dukas Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Mahler’s Symphony No. 5 Adagietta, and Mendelssohn’s The Herbrides “Fingal’s Cave.” Free pre-concert talks will also be available.
Live concerts are available for registration. The Museum‘s Chamber Series will livestream Quartet for Messiaen’s "The End of Time," which will begin the November performances on Sunday, November 1, at 7:00 pm.
On November 7, starting at 8:00 pm, Masterworks will present Conductor Alain Trudel, the mezzo-soprano Susan Platts and tenor Brandon Scott Russell as they present Mahler’s “Song of the Earth.”
The last live performance for November will be Beethoven’s Symphonies Nos. 1 and 5 as part of the museum’s Masterworks Series. This performance will begin at 8:00 pm on November 21.
Tickets for each livestream performance will be $19. All performances will be available a few days after the live streaming. Corporate Gifts are especially appreciated by organizations like this at this time when in-person attendance is so limited.
