Three events coming in late October and early November will reflect Toledo’s “Big Heart” as participants support three good causes - Northwest Oho Psychiatric Hospital, Shriners Children’s Hospital and American Heart Association.
Heart and Soul Toledo will hold its 19th annual Halloween @ Hensville. As in the past, the event will take place in the stadium’s concourse with heaters and shelters to keep everyone warm and dry. Karen Rose will spearhead the live auction and there will be dinner, cash bar, silent auction, games, live entertainment, and a costume contest. Advance tickets are $50 and will go up $10 at the door.
Halloween @ Hensville will be Saturday, October 22nd from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm at the Home Plate entrance at Fifth Third Field, 406 Washington Street.
The 6th annual Minneapolis Halloween 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon, coming October 29th, will raise money for the Shriners Children’s Hospital. Participants are encouraged to don their Halloween finery and head out to Hennepin Park. Swag will include tech T-Shirts and finisher medals sporting this year’s event graphic design, age group awards and rankings, discounts for Running Room Saint Paul running gear and training plans. Races will start at 8:30 am.
