Those celebrating New Year’s Eve here in Toledo have at least three festive options- Swedish New Year, New Year’s Eve Party, and a Roaring ‘20s New Year’s Eve Chefs Dinner.
Quenched and Tempered Brewing Company will be holding a Swedish New Year and Meatball Drop. Meatball connoisseurs will be entering their submissions and a panel of judges will determine the winner at 6:00 pm, when the event will ring in the New Year in Sweden time.
Swedish New Year & Meatball Drop will take place December 31 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at 1210 Jackson Street.
Also, the Maumee Bay Brewing Company will be holding its New Year’s Eve Party from 7:00 pm Saturday, December 31 until midnight.
Appetizers will be available, and Slow No Wake will be the entertainment from 7:00 pm to midnight. The $45 admission will include two drinks and a midnight champagne toast.
Thirdly, Brim House, 444 North Summit Street, will hold a Roaring 20s New Year’s Eve Chef Dinner from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm. Guests will enjoy a seven-course dinner prepared by Chef Rigot. The Heights will be open for a little “gambling for charity,” and a silent auction. Proceeds will go to Food for Thought, an organization that feeds the hungry. The $180 tickets will include prohibition-themed cocktails and champagne.
Couples dressed in 1920 attire often take pictures of themselves to local Stationery printers to be put on personalized notecard sets.
