Party group part of two Toledo Zoo events
High-energy party band 56Daze will be part of the Toledo Zoo and Aquarium’s Music Under the Stars concert series, as well as the finale to the zoo’s Christmas in July.
As the fourth concert in the zoo’s free Music Under the Stars series, the band will play Sunday, July 24. The music series will begin July 3 with the North Coast Concert Band, continue on July 10 with the Maumee Community Band, and the Polish American Band will play on July 17. The Sunday after 56Daze performs, Cakewalkin’ Jass Band will play on July 31.
August’s line-up will include Genoa American Legion Band on August 7 and the Perrysburg Symphony Orchestra ending the series on August 14.
Gates for the event will open at 6:00 pm, and the Amphitheater will open at 6:30 pm for the 7:30 performances.
Christmas in July will feature some of the zoo’s Christmas lights strung along the zoo’s South Side from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm on July 22 and 23. Guests may stroll, listen to holiday music, make holiday-themed crafts, play glow-in-the-dark mini golf, and visit the museum, reptile house, aquarium, barnyard, and carousel. Before the 56Daze performance on Sunday, the DC Taylor-Acoustic Duo will play from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm in the Main Plaza.
