Although celebrations of the New Year will be toned down a little this year, there are still a few NYE events scheduled.
Younger New Year celebrants can bring their families to Noon Year’s Eve at the Toledo Zoo and Aquarium. At noon, the zoo will welcome the new year with the raising of the annual recycling ball and tumbling biodegradable confetti. Guests will be treated to apple juice and are invited to join the singing of ‘Auld Lang Syne.”
Visitors can make crafts and conservation reZOOlutions, watch a carving demonstration and see zoo animals enjoying enrichment treats. An ice slide will be part of the Winter Village.
Noon Year’s Eve will take place from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on December 31.
From 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm, adult NYE revelers can enjoy their own celebrations later at the Heights NYE 2021 Party. The $99 dinner tickets will include appetizers, sparkling wine and entrées. The dinner will be at Brim House, 444 North Summit Street.
Brim House will also have a Chefs Table: Wine Cellar Dinner from 6:30 pm until 9:30 pm on New Year’s Eve. Chef Rigot will prepare a seven-course dinner accompanied by Italian and French wines.
Pictures taken at events such as these usually go to local Stationery printers to become the first pictures for the new year’s family Calendars.
