The lineup includes the 2020 Ohio Prairie Conference, taking place this Saturday, August 1, at noon.
Children can enjoy a Virtual Youth Paper Cutting Workshop presented by Mary Gayier and her T-Rex friend Terrence. The class is geared for youth 10 years old and older. The event costs $8 for Sylvania Arts members and $10 for nonmembers. The workshop will be presented on Zoom, and participants will need to have access to a printer and sharp scissors. The class will be Friday, August 14 from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
The Metroparks Toledo Foundation and the Proud Metroparks Members will present Virtual Jazz in the Garden with performances on Thursday evenings at 6:30 pm. August performers will be the Gene Parker Quintet on August 6, Quartet Bernadette on August 13, Los Gatos on August 20, and the quick Quintet on August 27.
Moving into September, Virtual Jazz in the Garden will present the Chris Buzzelli Quartet on September 3 and Talking Ear on September 10.
Issue Box Theater will present I Want You to See Me, a narrative performance depicting the personal and societal barriers that prevent people from really seeing and understanding each other. Performances will be September 23, 24, and 25 at 4:00 pm.
