All of Toledo will want to set aside June 1st for a traditional parade and festival.
Old West End Society will be presenting their 2019 King Wamba Carnival Parade from 10 am until 1 pm. Bands, art, street theatre and other old world wonders will march down through the Old West End ending at the Market Place.
The two-day Old West End Festival, June 1st and 2nd will offer entertainment on two stages. On Saturday the Arboretum Stage will have nine performances including Indie, rock, electronic, and disco. Bitch Thunder will take the stage at 10 pm. The Art Fair Stage will have Middle East dancing, rock, modern folk, Americana and classic rock and R&B. On Sunday the Arboretum Stage will feature rock dance, folk and an array of artists. The Art Fair Stage will have acoustic, rock, pop funk and blues.
Selected homes will be open for tours and there will be plenty of yard sales. Children’s activities will be on Woodruff Street under the tent.
The Art Fair will run both days. All artwork will be original and judging for cash awards will take place on Saturday morning.
A Market Place will be set up both days from 10 am until 5 pm along Woodruff Avenue. Attendees at events such as this enjoy collecting sellers’ Business Cards so they can reach the sellers at a later date.
