The WTOL River Run 10K is currently set to take place in downtown Toledo on Memorial Day weekend.
The prize purse will total $4,500 and first place winners in each age divisions will receive free Saucony shoes. Over 1,500 runners are expected to participate.
The course will be a challenging, though scenic, counterclockwise route along the waterfront. Runners will cross Toledo’s historic Anthony Wayne Bridge.
Runners will receive gender specific tech shirts, refreshments at the finish line, finisher medals sporting the event’s Logo Design, and photos.
Prize money totaling $4,000 goes to the top five female and male overall finishers. First place female and male finishers will receive $750; second place $500, third place $400, fourth place $250, and fifth $100. Prize money totaling $500 ($250 each) will also go to the overall masters’ female and male. Awards will also go to the top five finishers in each of the 14 age divisions.
Registration will be $45 from until April 22, and $50 thereafter.
WTOL River Run 10 k is scheduled for Saturday, May 23. Start time will be 7:30 am and the start line will be in front of Promenade Park, 730 N. Summit Street. The run will end at 9:00 am at the finish line in front to WTOL 11 Studios also on Summit.
