Toledo knows its all happening at the zoo

Four events are being planned in July as fundraisers for the Toledo Zoo.

The Young Professionals for Animals and Conservation will be hosting its annual YPAC Wild Games evening for adults at the zoo tomorrow. This will be an evening of zip lining, oversized Connect Four and Jenga play and encounters with the zoo’s favorite giraffes – Trevor and Charlotte.

ADA Zoo Day 2018 will be geared to those Toledo residents with disabilities. This will be primarily a vendor fair with over 60 vendors distributing information about local disability resources. Many of these businesses and organizations will have Business Cards available for anyone wanting to contact them at a later date.

Black Cloister Brewing Company will be holding its Pints for Prairies next week. This will be a benefit for Toledo’s Zoo AAZK Chapter and for the Toledo Wild Prairie Initiative. Conservation Coordinator, Ryan Walsh will be speaking on the initiative, and there will also be a 50/50 cash raffle.

Finally, Yark Subaru Rock N Roar will be an evening of dancing with DJ Fu5ion spinning out ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s music in the zoo’s new Malawi Event Center.

YPAC Wild Games will be tomorrow, July 18, 5:30 until 7:30 pm at the Toledo Zoo, 2 Hippo Way.

ADA Zoo Day will be next Monday, July 23 starting at 10:00 am.

Pints for Prairies will be Wednesday, July 25, 5:00 to 7:00 pm at 619 Monroe St, and Rock N Roar will be Friday, July 27 from 7:00 pm until midnight.
