A City in Transit Gala and Expo will be a gathering of non-profits, businesses and community exhibitors featuring Toledo as a powerful Midwest city. Over 1000 visitors are expected to view the 100 plus platforms.
The free event will feature high school, college and family-friendly interactive education, arts and culture exhibits and over 100 community groups, institutions, businesses and organizations passing out information, Business Cards, giveaways and Promotional Products. Some exhibitors will be The Andersons, Aptus, The Collablab, be/instrumental, Black Swamp Conservancy, Boochy Mama’s Probiotic Tonic, and Association of Child Life Professionals. A car show is also on the agenda.
There will be plenty of food and drinks available from The Beastro Burger, Lyle’s Crepes, Pizza Cat and Rosie’s Rolling Chef.
Live music will be performed by Aaron Rutter, Amelia Airharts, Chloe and the Steel Strings, Bobby May, Twenty Twenty-Four Jazz Ensemble and Adrian James and Patrick Lewandowski.
A “Snap a Photo. Tell A Story. Show Toledo.” photo competition will be part of the gala. Photos for Challenge #1 must be submitted before July 27th and prizes will include gift cards and gear. Pictures for Challenge # can be taken at the expo and posted online to win similar prizes.
A City in Transit Gala and Expo will be August 3rd from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the Downtown Toledo Train Station, 300 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
