The H-Factor Jazz Enthusiast Club invites all jazz lovers to attend its inuagural Jazz Fundraiser Concert this weekend.
The concert will be raising money to cover expenses for the 5th Great Lakes Jazz Festival coming in early September, and to add to the club’s music scholarship fund, which is buying music education materials and keyboards for students at the Central Academy of Ohio.
The lineup for this event will be jazz pianist Sir Kalvin Hughes and vocalist Kimmie Horne. Guest performer will be Gregory Buchanan Jr. The MDA Fellowship Choir will be directed by Denard Molery, and there will also be a special tribute to Toledo’s legendary musician Clifford Murphy.
The event will begin with a summer buffet and an H-Factor Jazz Show. That will be followed by the main show featuring Sir Kalvin, Horne, and the choir. The tribute to Murphy will start right after the 15-minute intermission. Kimmie Horne and Sir Kalvin will do a set of their own and the evening will wind down with another performance by the H-Factor Jazz.
